Places to go by Clare Gordon-Smith
The Telegraph Magazine

Head for Bill's Twenty different types of tomato, four raspberry varieties, 15 different lettuces and locally produce fruit and vegetables, and a cafe – some foreign foodie heaven? No, Bill's Produce Store in Lewes, East Sussex , set up two years ago by Bill Collison, whose all-encompassing attitude to food has added an outside catering company and a juice bar to the original concept, as well as creating a thriving centre for local farmers to sell their produce. In addition there are weekly deliveries of food from Thailand and twice weekly deliveries form Rungis, the Paris food market. Bill also sells a range of own-label salad dressings, jams, jellies and tarts.
